Stephanie Neill Harner Named Assistant Women's Golf Coach

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Stephanie Neill Harner has been named the new assistant coach for the Wake Forest women??s golf team. She joins head coach Dianne Dailey, who was her coach when she played golf at WFU from 1992-1995.
Harner has a strong background and relationship with Wake Forest and Dailey. As a Deacon golfer she received All-American honors each of her four years and is the only WFU player to accomplish this feat. Harner appears prominently throughout Wake Forest golf history, holding the top individual 18-hole score of 67 and the most tournament wins among any woman with eight titles. Even more amazing is the fact that she only had six non-top 10 finishes in her career.
During the ACC??s 50th anniversary celebration in 2002-03, Harner was one of 10 WFU golfers named to the ACC 50th anniversary women??s golf team and one of just three former Deacons to appear on the league??s Top 50 Female Athletes list.
After graduation, Harner has competed professionally on the Futures Tour since 1996, with a season on the Ladies?? European Tour in 2000. She achieved two second place finishes on the Futures Tour and in 1996 she led the tour in putting. As a professional, Harner??s lowest round is 66.
Teaching golf is an area in which Harner is very experienced. She has taught almost every year at Dailey??s Ladies Golf Camps, as well as the 2002 and ??03 Girls Golf Camps, in addition to various other junior camps and clinics.
During the off-seasons, Harner has worked in golf operations at Ibis Golf and Country Club in Florida and was most recently serving as a teacher at Charlotte Country Day School.
Dailey believes that Harner and her experience will be a major asset to the team.

Stephanie is married to Rob Harner, a Class A Member of the PGA and Assistant Golf Professional at Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte.
