Men's Tennis Heads To UVA Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- The Wake Forest men's tennis team travels to Charlottesville, Va. this weekend for the UVA Invitational. The eight-team field begins play on Friday and wraps up on Sunday. The teams competing are Virginia, Alabama, Harvard, NC State, Old Dominion, Purdue, Wake Forest and William & Mary.
The Deacs had an impressive showing last weekend at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships held in Athens, Ga. Sophomore Brett Ross took home the division II singles championship while the doubles team of Ross and junior Derrick Spice placed second overall. All four Demon Deacons who competed in singles, including Ross, Spice, Andrew Hamar and Liron Strauss, won at least one match during the weekend.
