Wake Forest Volleyball Falls to Miami 3-0

Coral Gables, FL.- - The Wake Forest Volleyball team dropped their third straight ACC match, while Miami improved to 2-1 in the ACC with a 3-0 win over the Deacons on Friday night. Valerie Rydberg was the only Wake Forest player in double figures throughout the match with 13 kills. The team recorded a total of 39 kills and finished with a hitting percentage of .116.
The Hurricanes had three players in double figures, finishing with 51 total kills and a hitting percentage of .381. They improved to 6-4 overall while the Deacons recorded an 8-5 mark overall.
All three games during the match were close, until the Hurricane's pulled away late in each for the victory. In game 2, the Deacon's remained with in reach of a win; however, Miami went on a 12-2 run to finish the game. With a 6-0 run late in game 3, the Hurricane's went on to take the match with a 30-19 win.
Wake Forest returns to action on Saturday at 7:00pm against Florida State.
