Women's Volleyball Travels to Florida State and Miami

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - - The Wake Forest volleyball team will look for its first ACC victory of the season this weekend as the Demon Deacons travel to Miami and Florida State. Wake Forest will take on Miami on Friday night and Florida State on Saturday. Both matches will begin at 7 p.m.
The Deacons are currently 8-4 overall after dropping two ACC matches against Virginia and Maryland last weekend. Overall, the Deacs took non-conference victories over Purdue, South Carolina and Connecticut.
Miami, boasts a 1-1 ACC record, while Florida State enters the weekend with a 0-2 conference record. In non conference play, the Hurricanes boast a 5-4 overall record with victories over Florida International, Cincinnati and SMU. Florida State has a 7-5 overall record with its victories against Eastern Michigan, Troy State and Winthrop.
After the trip down to Florida, the Deacs will return home to host Georgia Tech on Oct 8 at 7 p.m.
