Wake Forest Volleyball Travels to Virginia Tech

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Wake Forest volleyball team travels to Virginia Tech in hopes to pick up its first ACC match of the season and crack its seven match losing streak, before returning to Winston-Salem on Saturday to host Winthrop. Match time for Saturday is set for 6 p.m.

Coming into the weekend, the Demon Deacons are 8-9 overall and 0-7 in the conference, while the Hokies are 10-8 overall and 2-3 in the ACC. Against Virginia Tech, the Hokies lead the series 3-19 with the Deacs picking up the last win on Aug. 31, 2002. Against Winthrop, the Deacs again trail in the series, 6-8, but took the victory in the last meeting.

After this weekend, the Deacs will play two more conference opponents in Maryland and Virginia Tech on Oct. 22 and 23, before returning home to host NC State on Oct. 29.
