Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team travels to the Franklin Street Partners Invitational, Oct. 8-10. The 6,285 yard Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C. hosts the three day tournament. This is the third 72 par course on which the Deacons have played this fall.
Wake Forest is led by senior Ashley Hoagland, who has posted two top-10 performances this season already, including her best ever finish, tied for third, at the Mason Rudolph Championship last week. She owns the season low 18-hole score (68, -4), the low 36-hole score (141, -3) and the low 54-hole score (216, E). All of Hoagland's rounds this fall have been counted towards the team score and she is the only Deacon to shoot equal to or below par in the past two tournaments.
Fellow senior Christine Hallstrom, sophomores Maggie Simons and Mandy Goins and lone freshman Laura Crawford will join Hoagland in representing the Deacons this weekend.
The nine team field includes five ACC Schools and four programs that were ranked in the top-20 at the end of the 2004 spring season.
