Track Program Signs Foot Locker Finalist

Winston-Salem, N.C. - Allison Kieffer has signed a national letter of intent to run cross country and track at Wake Forest next fall announced head cross country coach and track and field director Annie Bennett today.

"Allie will be a welcome addition to the Wake Forest cross country and track and field team," said Bennett. "We expect to see her as an impact player as a freshman in cross country."

A native of West Islip, N.Y., Kieffer was a foot locker finalist last year in cross country. She placed third in the New York State meet in the 1500m with a time of 4:32.

Kieffer is the first to sign in the 2005 recruiting class.

The Deacon women's cross country team will compete at the NCAA Championship Nov. 22 in Terre Haute, Ind. Race time is set for 11 a.m.
