Wake Forest Hits the Road For ACC Matchup With Clemson
The Wake Forest baseball team travels to Clemson this weekend for a three-game ACC series against the Tigers. The Demon Deacons (11-11) have lost three straight while Clemson (9-10) split a two-game midweek series with Elon. The Tigers have defeated Wake Forest six straight times dating back to the 2002 season.
Proficiency On the Basepaths...
Wake Forest has stolen 31 bases as a team so far in its 22 games played this season. The Deacs are 31-of-36 in stolen base attempts which comes out to an 86 percent success rate. Freshman Matt Antonelli leads the team with nine swipes and has only been caught once. Nick Blue has stolen seven of eleven while Ben Ingold and Matt Miller have combined to go a perfect 11-for-11 on the bases.
On Deck...
Wake Forest hosts Harvard at Hooks Stadium next Tuesday and travels to Charlotte on Wednesday before the Tar Heels of North Carolina come to Winston-Salem for an ACC showdown.

4/26/02- The date of Wake Forest's last victory over the Clemson Tigers. The Deacons came away with a 4-2 victory in the Friday series opener when the teams met in Clemson two seasons ago.
