The Demon Deacons are searching for their first series win in Charlottesville since 2002.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest hits the road for the first time in conference play, taking on No. 9 Virginia this weekend in a three-game ACC series.
The Demon Deacons and Cavaliers will meet for the 181st time on Friday, with Wake Forest searching for its first series win at Virginia since 2002. Wake last won the series against Virginia in 2018, taking a Saturday slugfest, 18-12, to clinch the series and wrap up the regular season.

The 116 Demon Deacon home runs in 2025 marked the fourth consecutive season the Deacs have reached the century mark and it was the third-highest home run total in program history. The Deacs are one of just three teams nationally to have 100 or more home runs in each of the last four seasons.
Sophomore Luke Costello ranks in the top 40 in the country with eight bombs so far this year, having homered four times in the last seven games entering the series with Virginia.

Building on the previously announced 2027 Wake Forest football matchup with Notre Dame inside Bank of America Stadium, Wake Forest Athletics continues to strengthen its regional ties to Charlotte as the Demon Deacons baseball program will head to the Queen City to take on Clemson in a showdown at Truist Field on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
