Deacons Look to Snap Skid in Gate City...
Wake Forest will try to break a nine-game losing streak on Wednesday night at UNC Greensboro. The Deacons lead the all-time series with the Spartans 24-7. UNCG won the March 24 meeting, snapping Wake's 10-game winning streak vs. the Spartans. The Deacons have won five straight in the Gate City since 1998.

Rookie of Year Candidate Antonelli Takes One on the Chin...
Matt Antonelli collided hard with catcher J.B. Tucker while tracking down a wind-blown foul ball in the fourth inning on Sunday.
Antonelli got the worst of it, cutting open his face in three places and requiring 25 stitches to close the gashes. He left the game and was treated in the on-campus training room in Reynolds Gymnasium.
Doug Riepe shifted to third base and Ryder Mathias played first.
Antonelli, the 2003 Massachusetts High School Player of the Year in hockey and football, is probable for this Wednesday's game.
Here's The Bad News...
Nine straight losses is the longest streak since a 10-game skid in 1987. Wake Forest is six games below .500 for the first time since the end of the 1996 season when the Deacs finished 26-32 overall.
Wake Forest is off to its worst start through 28 games since 1975 when the Deacons were 9-19, and its worst ACC start since beginning conference play with a 1-13 mark in 1987, finishing 4-13.
