Wake Forest earned its highest finish in the NCAA Women's Golf Championship since 1997 by taking 14th place at the Grand National Lakes Course near Auburn, Ala.
The final round concluded earlier today after rain and darkness suspended Friday's round.
UCLA won the team title, three strokes ahead of Oklahoma State and 12 shots in front of ACC champion Duke. California's Sarah Huarte won the individual crown.
Wake Forest, with just one senior in the starting lineup, finished just five strokes out of 10th place. The Demon Deacons posted their best NCAA Tournament finish since placing 11th in 1997.
Junior Christine Hallstrom led Wake Forest with a 2-over par 290, tying for 13th place overall. Hallstrom's 13th-place finish was the best by a Demon Deacon individual since Marta Prieto finished third in 2000. Junior Ashley Hoagland shot a 13-over 301 and freshman Mandy Goins turned in a 15-over 303.
