Cross Country Hosts The Wake Forest Invitational

Winston-Salem, NC - Wake Forest hosts the annual Wake Forest Invitational Saturday morning at the on campus trails. The women's race begins at 10 a.m., followed by a men's start at 10:45. Both will start and finish at the water tower field on campus.
Included in this years tournament are Davidson (women only), University of North Carolina - Charlotte, East Carolina, North Carolina A&T, and the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
Both men and women will run a 5k distance.
"We want the men to work on their game plan for the first half of the race," said head coach Annie Bennett. "The women will train through the race and see how they handle fatigue."
The Deacons opened the season with the Wake Forest Relays. The field at the Sept.1 event offered Duke and High Point. The Deacon women and the Blue Devil men came out victorious.
