Andersson Hired As Assistant Men's Tennis Coach

Winston-Salem, N.C. - Thomas Andersson has been hired as the assistant men's tennis coach at Wake Forest, head coach Jeff Zinn announced on Monday. He will be responsible for program's the day-to-day operations including team travel, tournament coordination and recruiting.
Andersson comes to Winston-Salem from Little Rock, Ark., where he was the head pro at the Little Rock Racquet Club for seven years. Prior to that, Andersson spent one year on the professional circuit and attained a world ranking in both singles and doubles.
The native of Halmstad, Sweden, was one of the top college players in the nation at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock where he played for Zinn and earned his undergraduate degree in marketing. He qualified for the NCAA Singles Tournament in 1995 with the Trojans. Andersson was one of the top junior players in Sweden.
"I'm thrilled and excited to be at Wake Forest," Andersson said. "It's great to return to college tennis and to work for such an elite school and an elite program. I think our team will turn heads in the ACC and on the national level this season."
