WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest senior Ben Ingold was named to SEBaseball.com's Preseason All-ACC second team, the website announced on Tuesday afternoon. Ingold was named All-ACC second team by the league in 2004.

Ingold, a shortstop from Durham, N.C., begins his fourth year as the team's everyday shortstop. He batted .361 with three home runs and 43 RBI in 2004. He led the Demon Deacons in batting, on-base percentage (.419), hits (78) and doubles (14).

Wake Forest opens its 2005 schedule on Thursday, February 10 at Winthrop. The home opener is slated for the following Tuesday, February 15 against Davidson at Hooks Stadium.
