Wake Forest Women's Tennis Travels to ITA Regional

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will travel to the University of North Carolina this weekend for the ITA/Wilson Southeast Regional Tournament.

The singles finalists and doubles champion from this event will earn spots in the November 3-6 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships hosted by The Ohio State University at the Racquet Club of Columbus.

Junior Christine Simpson and sophomore Blakely Offutt will being singles play on Thursday in the qualifying draw. Christian Tara, Ana Jerman, Sierra Poske and Jenna Loeb will start on Friday in the main singles draw. Junior Ashlee Davis is ranked second and will also play in the main draw, while redshirt sophomore Alex Hirsch will open the tournament as the sixth seed.

In doubles the Demon Deacons will have four teams in the main draw. Hirsch and Davis received a bye in the first round, while Poske/Simpson, Loeb/Offutt and Jerman/Tara will all play on Friday.
