
Men's Cross Country Places 25th at Pre-Nationals

Terre Haute, Ind. - The Wake Forest men's cross country team finished 25th out of 33 teams at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute on Saturday. The Deacons finished with 598 points in the 8000 meter race.
Senior Sean Stevens paced the Deacons with a time of 24:48, good for 69th overall. Freshman Jeremy Fisico placed second for the Deacons and 112th overall with a time of 25:13.
Senior Brandon Bartholomew ran a time of 25:15, good for 121st place. Senior Shane Ahlers finished with a time of 25:32, good for 147th place. Sophomore John Compton placed 149th running a time of 25:33.
Senior Brad Wharton ran a time of 25:45 and freshman Mark Russell added a time of 26:06 for the Deacons.
Stanford won the overall event with 89 points. BYU came in second with 174 points, and Georgetown placed third with 222 points.
