Wake Forest head basketball coach Skip Prosser, his assistant coaches and select members of the 2005-06 team will be on hand for a luncheon to benefit Coaches Vs. Cancer Nov. 9.
The luncheon, which will ultimately benefit cancer research and treatment in Winston-Salem, is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Bridger Field House, adjacent to Groves Stadium. Proceeds will help the American Cancer Society continue to provide scholarships to childhood cancer survivors among their many other pursuits.
The event comes one day before Wake Forest officially kicks off the regular season Nov. 10 in the 2k Classic against Mississippi Valley State. Prosser will be the featured speaker.
Tickets can be purchased for $50 ($37 tax deductible) or a table for $1000 ($870 tax deductible). For more information, contact the American Cancer Society at (336) 834-0844.
