Parr, Paul Move Into ITA Mideast Round of 16

Chapel Hill, N.C. - Cory Parr and Todd Paul won two matches on Friday to advance to the Sweet 16 of the singles bracket at the ITA Mideast Regionals in Chapel Hill.
Parr and Paul won their matches in straight sets. Parr defeated opponents from Clemson and North Carolina while Paul knocked off players from NC State and Georgia Tech.
Mariusz Adamski made the round of 32 after his convincing upset of ninth-seeded Jamie Cueller of South Carolina, 6-3, 6-2.
Joe Bates, Andrew Hamar, Brett Ross and Liron Strauss lost their matches in the round of 64.
In doubles, Wake Forest won five of eight matches. Paul and Bates advanced to the round of 16 before falling to a team from William & Mary, 8-2. Adamski and Parr are still alive in the round of 16, facing Lenny Gullen and David Stone of North Carolina. That Tar Heel duo knocked off Wake Forest's top team of Hamar and Ross in the round of 32.
Action at the ITA Mideast Regional continues on Saturday in Chapel Hill.
