Led the squad with an 11-2 singles record at the No. 1 spot...went 7-2 in singles against nationally ranked opponents...went 2-3 in doubles...a preseason All-American ranked #14 in the country for singles...earned a spot on the 2006 ITA All-America team by finishing the season in the top 20...ranked No. 7 in the US with teammate Andrew Hamar...won the top singles flight at the UVa Fall Invitational with the final win over #18 Harel Srugo of Old Dominion, 6-1, 6-2...notched wins over three nationally ranked opponents including 64th-ranked Roy Sichel of Charlotte and 94th-ranked Brady Crosby of Western Michigan...did not drop a set in any of his four matches on route to his final victory...won the consolation bracket in singles at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships in early October...marks Paul[apos]s second straight year winning the consolation championship...defeated #21 Stephen Bass of Notre Dame, 6-1, 6-2 for the title...qualified for the National Indoor Championships, which featured the top 32 players from around the US...advanced to the quarterfinal round with an opening round win over Arnau Brugues of Tulsa, 7-6 (6), 6-0...defeated Ryan Rowe of Illinois, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals, where he was defeated by van Puchkarov of Oklahoma State, 2-6, 7-5, 6-3...

2005-2006 (Junior)
Led the Deacs with a 27-14 singles record at the no.1 spot... twenty of the 41 singles matches this season came against players who qualified for the NCAA Singles field...broke even at 5-5 in ACC match play...went 19-14 at the doubles spot...started the season ranked #33 in the US in singles...spent most of the season between the no.10 and 18 national singles rankings...peaked at no.10 on March 17 after a win over no.10 Raian Luchici of North Carolina ...went on a seven game win streak that started at the ITA Championships and continued through to the ITA Mideast Championships...captured the consolation bracket title at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa in early October with wins over the 10th, 42nd, 86th, 35th and 23rd-ranked players in succession...advanced to the round of 16 at the ITA Mideast Regional Championships in Chapel Hill on October 22...qualified for the National Indoor Tournament at Ohio State, which featured many of the nation[apos]s top singles players in a 32 player field...lost in the second round to fourth-seeded Ben Kohlloeffel of UCLA, 7-5, 6-3...named All-ACC for the third year in a row...became the second player in Wake Forest history to be named to the conference team three times...qualified for the NCAA National Championships in Palo Alto, Calif...opened the NCAA[apos]s with a straight set win over 45th-ranked Luke Shields of Boise State, 6-4, 6-2...lost to 11th ranked Ryler DeHeart of Illinois in a three set thriller...became the second player in school history to be named to the ITA All-American Team by finishing the season ranked in ITA[apos]s top 20...named to the USA Tennis Collegiate Team for the summer and played in USTA Summer Futures Events...

2004-05 (Sophomore) An All-ACC selection for the second straight year... peaked at No. 51 in the national rankings and ended his season at No. 67... finished with a 20-10 singles record, including a 9-1 mark in the conference... led the Deacons with a 20-11 record in doubles... split most of his time between No. 1 and No. 2 singles... went 4-1 in the marquee spot, 10-4 at No. 2 singles and 2-0 at No. 3... went 16-5 in the spring season... was a perfect 4-0 against ACC opponents at the No. 1 position, including three players who were ranked in the top 25... played No. 2 and No. 3 doubles... was part of both of Wake Forest[apos]s most successful doubles teams... went 7-3 with Mariusz Adamski at No. 2... posted an 8-3 record with Joe Bates at No. 2 and No. 3... won eight matches against nationally-ranked opponents including #9 Izak van der Merwe of Old Dominion, 6-3, 1-6, 7-5... #18 Nathan Thompson of Clemson, 6-3, 6-4... #20 Josh Cohen of Miami, 7-6, 6-3... #21 Jose Luis Muguruza of Georgia Tech, 6-2, 6-7, 6-3... #76 Stephen Amritraj of Duke, 6-4, 6-4... #82 Ytai Abougzir of Florida State, 7-5, 6-3... #92 Sergi Arumi of VCU, 6-4, 6-4... #102 Arvid Puranen of Virginia Tech, 6-4, 7-6... advanced to the semifinals of the Flight A singles bracket at the UVa Fall Classic, knocking off two nationally-ranked opponents... reached the finals of the UVa Fall Classic Flight A doubles bracket with Andrew Hamar, before falling to Chu/Kumar of Harvard... won his No. 3 doubles match with Joe Bates against Clemson in the ACC Tournament, 8-4 over Cook/Twente... combined with Bates to win all five of their matches in March... won five straight matches with Mariusz Adamski in Janurary and February at No. 2.

2003-04 (Freshman)
Named ACC Freshman of the Year after an outstanding first season at Wake Forest... just the second Demon Deacon ever to receive that honor... also picked up All-ACC honors... led the team with 28 singles victories, including a 15-7 mark in dual matches... also racked up 18 total doubles wins... helped Wake Forest earn the doubles point against #29 Mississippi State in the NCAA Tournament first round when he and Andrew Simpson defeated Provenzano/Roussel, 8-5... picked up two wins over ranked opponents in three matches from Mar. 27 to April 3, upsetting FSU[apos]s #51 Jonathas Sucupira and Miami[apos]s Eric Hechtman... teamed up with Derrick Spice at No. 2 doubles and knocked off the Blue Devils[apos] seventh-ranked pairing of Phillip King and Jonathan Stokke, 8-6... went on a season-best seven match singles winning streak from Feb. 18 to Mar. 17, including a victory over Furman[apos]s John Chesworth at No. 1 singles... won three straight matches at No. 3 singles against opponents from #58 Michigan State, #41 William & Mary and #31 Minnesota... registered a team-best 12 singles victories in the fall... also compiled a 5-4 doubles record... won his first four collegiate matches and was the Flight B Singles runner-up at the Virginia Invitational... was the Flight A Singles runner-up after winning his first three matches at the Top of the Hill Classic...
