Chapel Hill, N.C. - Sophomore Mariusz Adamski and freshman Cory Parr lost their semifinal doubles match at the ITA Mideast Regional Championships in Chapel Hill on Sunday. Duke's Joey Atas and Jonathan Stokke, the 46th-ranked pair in the nation, defeated Wake Forest's team, 8-3.
Despite the semifinal loss, Adamski and Parr exceeded expectations in Chapel Hill. They won four of five doubles matches, knocking off two seeded pairs.
The tournament marked the conclusion of fall schedule for Wake Forest as a team. Todd Paul will compete at the National Indoors Tournament Nov. 3-6 at Ohio State University. The nation's top 32 players will participate in that event. Paul earned a berth thanks to his consolation bracket title at the ITA All-American Championships earlier this month.
