Tulsa, Okla. - Andrew Hamar qualified for the main singles draw at the Polo Ralph Lauren ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla., on Wednesday. He defeated 61st-ranked Marko Miklo of Virginia, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2, to join teammate Todd Paul in the 64-player main draw which starts Thursday.
Hamar, a junior from Pontypool, South Wales, won his third match in as many days to improve his season record to 5-1.
"I didn't try to do anything outrageous," Hamar said. "I kept my head, wanted to wait for the right shot and played solid tennis."

Meanwhile, Paul's opponent has established. The native of Stamford, Conn., was invited into the main draw and will play his first singles match of the week against Pacific's Amaar Sigurdsson, a sophomore from Iceland.
