Women's Golf Travels To Lady Tar Heel Invitational

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team will continue its fall season this weekend at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational hosted by North Carolina. The 54-hole event begins Friday and ends Sunday and will be played at the Finley Golf Club on the UNC campus. The par is 72 and yardage is 6,285 yards.
Juniors Mandy Goins and Maggie Simons along with sophomore Laura Crawford and freshmen Nannette Hill and Jean Chua will compete in the tournament representing the Deacons. Jordan Craig is also participating in the event as an individual.
The field of 18 teams includes nine which are ranked in the top 25 in Golfstat's latest rankings. In addition to host North Carolina which will field two teams, the field includes top-ranked Duke, Auburn (#3), Tennessee (#6), Ohio State (#9), Oklahoma State (#11), LSU (#17), Texas (#19), Virginia (#22), Tulsa (#23), Florida State, Kentucky, NC State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
