WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball team looks to extend its seven match home winning streak on Tuesday night as the Demon Deacons host Duke at 6 p.m. in Reynolds Gym.
The Demon Deacons have won eight of their last nine matches and have compiled an 11-1 record at home in 2005. Most recently, Wake Forest won a pair of ACC matches, including a 3-2 victory over No. 24 Maryland. The victory over the Terrapins was Wake Forest's first over a ranked opponent this year.
Against the Maryland, four players hit in double-figures, including Christy Williams with a team-high 21 kills. Redshirt-freshman Jessica Furlong earned her fourth straight double-double and seventh of the season with 19 kills and 11 digs. Senior Erin Borhart also notched a double-double against the Terps with 61 assists and 22 digs.
Duke enters the match with an 18-7 overall record and a 12-5 conference mark. Like the Deacs, the Blue Devils defeated Boston College and Maryland this past weekend to extend their home winning streak to 12 matches. On the road, Duke carries a 3-6 record.
