
#25 Men's Tennis Rolls Past Furman, 6-1

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The 25th-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team rolled to a convincing 6-1 victory against visiting Furman on Sunday afternoon at Leighton Tennis Stadium.
The Deacons swept all three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. Wake Forest picked up victories in five of the six singles matches. Todd Paul, Andrew Hamar, Brett Ross, Marius Adamski and Liron Strauss earn posted victories.
Wake Forest improved to 8-1 on the season. The match was the first of the outdoor season for the Deacons. Furman slipped to 2-9.
"I felt we played pretty well considering it was our first outdoor match of the season," head coach Jeff Zinn said. We've got a ways to go, especially with a tough match ahead on Wednesday at Miami."
The Deacons head to Coral Gables to play 56th-ranked Miami on Wednesday (7-2, 0-1 ACC) in its second-ever match in the Atlantic Coast Conference. It will be the ACC opener for Wake Forest.
