WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest senior catcher J.B. Tucker was named first team All-Atlantic Coast Conference by SEBaseball.com Monday.
Tucker, a native of Bradenton, Fla., has started all 53 games for the Demon Deacons. He leads Wake Forest in virtually every offensive category. Tucker is batting .324 with 20 doubles, 13 home runs and 60 RBI. Tucker also leads the Demon Deacons in hits (72) and slugging percentage (.590).
Wake Forest will open the 2005 ACC Tournament Tuesday against 11th-seeded Duke. First-pitch at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville is scheduled for 11 a.m.
