
Wake Forest Women's Tennis Hosts Demon Deacon Classic

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team welcome athletes from six different schools at the 2005 Demon Deacon Classic, this at weekend Leighton Tennis Stadium. Four Wake Forest players will travel to the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Qualifier in Los Angeles, Calif.
At the Deacon Classic, Wake will welcome athletes from Rice, Tennessee Tech, Richmond, UNC-Greensboro, Virginia and Syracuse. Jenna Loeb, Blakely Offutt, Christine Simpson and Sierra Poske will represent the Deacs in Winston-Salem. Loeb and Offutt will play together in doubles, as well as Simpson and Poske. All four players will also play in the singles draw.
Alex Hirsch, Ashlee Davis, Christian Tara and Ana Jerman will spend the weekend at the prequalifier for the All-American Championship. The 64-player, 32 doubles team tournament is being played at UCLA. The top four singles players and doubles teams will advance this weekend to the Oct. 4-5 qualifying tournament at Riviera.
