Track and Field Travels to Virginia Tech Invitational

Winston-Salem, NC - The Wake Forest track and field teams opens their 2006 indoor season schedules in Blacksburg, Va. on Friday afternoon, at the Virginia Tech Invitational. The Deacons are among 18 participating schools in the two day event.
Among this weekends opponents are ACC rivals Clemson, Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech. Other teams competing this weekend include George Mason, Hampton, James Madison, Norfolk State, Radford, Virginia Intermont College, VMI and William & Mary. Schools from Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee and Washington D.C., will also compete.
Events will take place from 5:00-8:40 pm on Friday, followed by Saturday's events from 12:00 pm to 4:35 pm. Results of both day's performances will be posted at the end of each day.
