
Wake Forest Women's Cross Country Earns NCAA Bid

Wake Forest's women's cross country team will join 30 other schools at the Nov. 20 NCAA Championships at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
Coach Annie Bennett's seven-woman team, one of 13 teams to earn an at-large bid, will run at noon on Nov. 20. Indiana State University is serving as the host school.
Wake Forest, which has been nationally-ranked much of the fall season, finished fifth Saturday at the NCAA Southeast Regional in Louisville, Ky. Deacon senior Michelle Sikes finished second at the regional and is considered one of the top runners competing at the NCAA Championship.
Eight of the 31 teams running Nov. 20 are from the Atlantic Coast Conference.
