Paul Advances to Quarterfinals at National Indoor Championships

Columbus, Ohio - Wake Forest senior Todd Paul defeated Ryan Rowe of Illinois, 6-4, 6-4, to advance to the quarterfinal round of the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championship on Friday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio. Rowe, ranked 48th coming into the match, was half of last year's NCAA championship doubles team.
The win improves Paul's record against nationally-ranked opponents to 6-1. Paul, the 14th-ranked player nationally, is set to play 61st-ranked Ivan Puchkarov of Oklahoma State, winner of the Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships in late October. Puchkarov defeated 13th-ranked Luis Flores of Georgia during Thursday's first round.
The match is set for Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.
