Senior DT Jamil Smith, sophomore OG Chris DeGeare and junior OG Louis Frazier made their 10th career starts today. WakeForest would have 26 players on its roster with 10 or more career starts, including 11 players on offense and 14 players. Junior Kenneth Moore made his first career start at tailback. Moore had previously started eight games in his career at wide receiver.

Freshman QB Riley Skinner threw an interception on Wake Forest's first drive. It was the second interception of the season and it came on his 119th pass of the year.
Idlette Scores On Nine-Yard Reverse...
Senior WR Willie Idlette scored in the first quarter on a nine-yard reverse. It came on third down. For Idlette, it was his eighth career overall touchdown. It was his fourth career rushing touchdown and the first since his freshman year.
When Scoring First ...
The Deacons entered today's game with a 6-0 record (25-13 in the Grobe era)when scoring first. Idlette's rushing touchdown accounted for the first seven points of the game.
Skinner to Morton TD...
Riley Skinner's 46-yard touchdown pass to Nate Morton was the sixth scoring strike of the season for Skinner and the third receiving touchdown for Morton.
All-Purpose Player...
Nate Morton's 46-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter marked the 11th touchdown of his career. He has caught six, passed for three and rushed for two.
Gattis Makes It A Hat Trick, +1...
Senior FS Josh Gattis made an interception in the second quarter. It marked the fourth straight game that Gattis intercepted a pass and the 11th of his career.
When Leading At The Half...
Wake Forest entered today's game with a 4-1 record (23-10 in the Grobe era) when leading at the half. TheDeacons led 14-7 at the break tonight.
Curry Stops BC On Fourth Down...
When Aaron Curry tackled BC's Kevin Challenger short of the first down early in the third quarter, it marked only the third time that Wake Forest has stopped an opponent on fourth down. Deacon opponents entered the game 8-for-10.
Marion Breaks Off 81-Yard Touchdown Run...
Sophomore WR Kevin Marion broke away for an 81-yard touchdown early in third quarter. It was the fifth-longest run by a Deacon in program history and the longest since 1968 when Freddie Summers ripped off a 90-yard score against Maryland at Groves Stadium. It was the second-longest run by a Deacon player in Groves Stadium history. For Marion, it was his second career rushing touchdown. Oddly enough, his other scoring scamper was a 1-yarder at Florida State last year.
Swank Misses 43-Yarder...
Sophomore PK Sam Swank's miss from 43 yards out in the third quarter was just his third miss from inside 50 yards this year. He entered the game 8-of-10 from inside 50. It was also his first miss since the NCState game.
Leading After Three Quarters...
Wake Forest entered today's game with a 5-1 record (25-8 in the Grobe era) when leading after three quarters. The Deacons led 21-14 heading into the fourth quarter.
Abbate Reaches Double Figures Again...
Junior LB Jon Abbate went over the 10 tackle mark for the 10th time in his career. Despite missing a portion of the second half with an ankle injury, he finished with a season-high 13 tackles. Abbate had five solo tackles. Today was his 30th career game.
Ryan's Big Day
Boston College's Matt Ryan finished with the most pass completions by an opposing quarterback in Wake Forest history. Ryan finished the night 40-of-57 for 402 yards. He threw one touchdown and two interceptions. His 40 completions broke the previous mark of 38 set by Duke's Ben Bennett in 1980 and tied by NC State's Phillip Rivers in 2003. Ryan's passing attempts are the second-most by an opposing quarterback, falling five short of the record. Tonight was the first time since Nov. 20, 2004, at Miami that the Deacons have allowed over 400 passing yards. It was also the first time Wake has allowed a team to throw over 50 passes since Oct. 15, 2005, at Boston College.
