If you were to play another sport at Wake Forest, what would it be?
Ice Hockey or Soccer
Best thing about the team:
The relationships between all the players. We're becoming a family. This team cares about each other and winning, and this is the beginning of restoring Wake Forest to the top.
What are three words that best describe coach Rembielak?
Disciplined, Hard-nosed, Competitor.
Who would play you in a movie?
Brad Pitt, because he's a stud.
Which professional player would you compare yourself to?
Lenny Dykstra
What is your favorite major league ballpark?
Yankee Stadium, a.k.a. The Stadium; the greatest park in baseball history.
What would be the title of your biography?
Proving Everybody Wrong.
What is your favorite/most memorable sports moment?
Personally, winning the CABA World Series in the summer after my senior year in High School with the Bayside Yankees. Otherwise, it would be the New York Rangers winning the 1994 Stanley Cup or the New York Yankees winning the 1996 World Series.
Should Pete Rose be eligible for the Hall of Fame?
I definitely think so. The Hall of Fame is for accomplishments on the field, in which he is completely worthy with 4,200+ career hits. Besides, no players get into the hall for the actions off the field, why should they keep him out for his actions off the field?
Should college baseball switch to wooden bats?
No, its part of college now. If you want to see wood, go to a pro game.
Who is the best hitter and pitcher in major league baseball?
Alex Rodriguez can flat out mash, and nobody can deal like Roger Clemens, and at his age, forget about it.
Who is the one MLB hitter/pitcher you would want to face?
Roger Clemens; in order to be the best, you must beat the best.
Favorite baseball team:
New York Yankees
Favorite player:
Mickey Mantle
Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?
Not really, but Andy Goff and I are starting one. Before every weekend series, we're going to watch the movie "Miracle." Right, Goff?
Why did you choose Wake Forest?
I bought in to coach Rembielak's philosophy of baseball, plus ACC ball is the best. Coach Sinacori sold me on our great pitching staff, plus with Coach Palmieri, a three-time All American, as a hitting coach, how could I say no? Plus, the academics are great.
