Winston-Salem, NC - The 25th-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team begins a six-match homestand on Thursday against 66th-ranked Brown at Leighton Tennis Stadium. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m.
The Deacons have posted a 6-1 record at home this spring. Wake Forest comes into the homestand playing solid tennis, having won three of its last four matches, including wins over Virginia Tech and in-state rivals North Carolina and NC State.
The first opponent in the homestand is Brown. The Bears own a 9-5 record entering their Wednesday match at NC State. They have earlier wins this season against Virginia Tech, Boston College and Michigan State. After winning nine of its first ten matches, Brown has lost four in a row.
This weekend, the Deacons get back into the ACC schedule with matches against 70th-ranked Maryland on Saturday and Boston College on Sunday. Those matches will be held at the Upper Eight Courts, located just down the street from Leighton Tennis Stadium.
Wake Forest has three home matches next week against fourth-ranked Duke, 14th-ranked Clemson and 32nd-ranked Georgia Tech -- all at Leighton Tennis Stadium.
