Women's Golf Earns Fourth Seed at NCAA East Regionals

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team earned the fourth seed for the 2006 NCAA Women's Golf East Regional as announced by the NCAA on Monday. Wake Forest, the host institution for the regional, will compete May 11-13 at Bryan Park Golf Club (par 72, 6,386 yards) in nearby Browns Summit, N.C.
The bid marks the 14th consecutive for the Deacons under head coach Dianne Dailey. Wake Forest will be one of 21 teams vying for eight spots at the NCAA Championships held this year at Ohio State's Scarlet Course. Joining Wake Forest will be Arizona State, Auburn, Tennessee, California, Vanderbilt, Virginia, South Carolina, LSU, Florida State, Alabama, NC State, Augusta State, Maryland, Furman, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Campbell, College of Charleston, East Carolina and Yale.
