Women's Golf Announces 2006-07 Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2006-07 season. Headlining this year's slate will be the Demon Deacons' home invitational, the Bryan National Collegiate in Browns Summit Apr. 6-8, 2007.
The Deacs will travel to five tournaments during the fall season, opening the slate Sept. 15-17 at the Mason Rudolph Championship. The season opener will be hosted by Vanderbilt at the Ironhorse Course in Nashville, Tenn.
A week later, Wake Forest will travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. for the 2006 Fall Preview hosted by the University of Central Florida at the LPGA International's Legends Course.
The Deacons will make the short trip to Chapel Hill on Oct. 6-8 for the Lady Tar Heel Invitational at the Finley Golf Course.
Two weeks later, Wake will once again stay in-state to compete at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington. UNC-Wilmington will host the tournament at the Nicklaus Course.
The Demon Deacons wrap up their fall schedule Nov. 3-5 at the National Collegiate Match Play at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
Wake Forest will begin its spring season Feb. 12-14 at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Los Angeles.
The Deacs must then wait almost a full month before their next tournament, the LSU Invitational Mar. 16-18 at the LSU Club Course in Baton Rouge.
A week later, Wake Forest will travel to Athens, Ga. for the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Georgia Mar. 23-25.
Following the Bryan National Collegiate on Apr. 6-8, the Demon Deacons will compete in the 2007 ACC Championship Apr. 13-15. This year's conference championship will be held at the Carmel Country Club in Charlotte.
LSU will host the NCAA East Regionals May 10-12 at the University Club.
The 2007 NCAA Championship is scheduled for May 22-25 at the LPGA International Golf Course in Daytona Beach.
