Head Coach Rick Rembielak
On his club making it to a regional:
"What we had to do to get into the regional I would classify as good timing. We played the last weekend at Virginia Tech and ended up qualifying for the ACC Tournament. We indicated to our guys that no matter what happened up to that point, the main thing was that we were one of eight teams in the postseason in the ACC Tournament. The guys stayed together and talked about winning each inning, and that if everybody does their job, as a team you¹re pretty successful."
On being in Texas:
"I feel very fortunate to be down here in Texas. I think it¹s one of the tougher regionals that will take place around the country. It¹s going to be very difficult for the teams coming in, especially with the possibility of facing a historic program like Texas."
Sophomore 1B Allan Dykstra
On being in the regional and facing UC Irvine:
"At the end of last year, we got really close and it was almost a disappointment (not to make the tournament). We came back this year and finished strong, and it was more a sigh of relief. We¹re just enthused to be here. We came here today and looked at our bracket, and we¹re playing in a beautiful ballpark. For me personally, UC Irvine is only about an hour away from my house, so I know a couple of these guys, and I¹ve talked to their coaches."
