Wake Forest Finishes 11th at the Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The 11th-ranked Wake Forest women's golf team moved up two spots to finish in 11th place at the Mason Rudolph Championship and finished with a score of 29-over 893 on Vanderbilt's Legends Club (par 72, 6,217-yards). The Demon Deacon shot an 8-over par on the final day of the tournament.
UCLA, the only team to finish under par, captured the Championship after firing a three-round total of 13-under par 851, a tournament record. Arizona State finished second with a 1-over 865, while Duke finished one stroke behind for third place with a 2-over 866.
On the individual side, Duke's Amanda Blumenherst beat her own individual record for the Mason Rudolph Championship in route to her second individual title with a final score of 203, five strokes lower than her 208 total in 2005.
Sophomore Dolores White finished in the top 25 with a three-day score of 4-over 220 (69-75-76) tying for 22nd. Laura Crawford was another consistent player for Wake as the senior finished tied for 28th after shooting a 5-over 221 and shot a 3-over par on the final day.
Freshman Natalie Sheary improved her play on the final day and led the Deacs on Sunday after shooting an even par. The Wake rookie finished tied for 66th with a 14-over 230. Nannette Hill shot a 1-over 73 and tied for 52nd with a three-day score of 10-over 226. Senior Jordan Craig rounded out the Deac's team of five tying for 80th with a 19-over 235.
Wake Forest is back in action at the NCAA Fall Preview in Albuquerque, N.M. from Sept. 24-26.
