Allie Bodemann posted top 10 and top 20 finishes while Natalie Sheary and Nannette Hill posted top 20 finishes in amateur tournaments over the winter break.
Bodemann, a freshman, finished fifth in last week's South Atlantic Ladies Amateur, also known as "The Sally," after shooting 71-73-74-74=292 (+4) at the Oceanside Country Club in Ormand Beach, Fla.
The field played in cold weather, rain and heavy winds that reached as high as 30 miles per hour.
"Allie played well through some really tough conditions," Wake Forest Head Coach Dianne Dailey said. "She was within one shot of the lead and then shot a triple-bogey on 17. A few putts here and there and she could've won, but she played solid across the board."
The South Atlantic featured 86 amateur golfers and was called "one of the most prestigious titles in women's amateur golf" by Golfweek. The tournament was won by England's Liz Bennett, the 2006 English Stroke Play champion and member of this year's Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup practice squad. Bennett finished 1-under.
On Jan. 6, Bodemann carded a 14th place finish at the Harder Hall Invitational with a four round final score of 299 (+11).
Sheary, the other half of Wake's stellar freshman class, finished 15th at the Harder Hall Invitational with a final score of 300 (+12).
Hill, a junior, kept the Deacon scores in order as she landed in 16th place at the Harder Hall after shooting 81-71-77-74=303 (+15).
"It's great practice for everyone to go out and compete," Coach Dailey said. "They all played very well and that bodes well for us going into the spring."
The Harder Hall, won by Arizona senior Alison Walshe, was held at the Harder Hall Country Club in Sebring, Fla.
The Wake Forest women will begin spring competition Feb. 11 at the Northrop Grumman Regional in Palos Verdes, Calif.
