Few Fouls Lead to Fast First Half

  • The first half lasted just 35 minutes of real time, which was due in large part to the low number of personal fouls called in the period. Only six total fouls-three for each team-were called.
  • Wake Forest did not commit a foul until the 12:34 mark of the first half when David Weaver was whistled for an offensive foul.
  • The first free throws of the game for either team came at the 1:02 mark of the first half. Wake Forest's Gary Clark made 1-of-2 free throws. In all, there were just three free throws total in the first half, with Presbyterian's Ryan Lamb shooting and making the other attempt.
  • The Deacons had just eight fouls in the game, marking Wake's lowest total since Jan. 29, 1997 against Wofford. It was the 17th time in program history that Wake Forest has had eight or fewer fouls in a game.
