Men's Tennis Continues at ITA Indoors

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Cory Parr and Steven Forman defeated Jason Jung and Mike Srocsynski 8-5 in the opening round of 16 and will now face a duo from California in the round of 8. Match time is set for 9:15 Friday morning at the Boar's Head Sports Club in Charlottesville.

California's Geoff Chizever and Pedro Zerbinia defeated Virginia's Dom Inglot and Michael Shabaz 8-6 to earn a spot in quarterfinals.

In singles, Cory Parr topped Harvard's Chris Clayton in straight sets (6-4, 6-0) in the opening round. Parr will now face the tournament's No. 1 seed, Oklahoma State's Oleksandr Nedovyesov, in the round of 16 on Friday at 12:30 p.m., just over 90 minutes after his 9:15 doubles match will likely wrap up. Nedovyesov is ranks No. 1 in the ITA's preseason poll.
