FINAL: No. 11 Wake Forest 66, Wright State 53
Team Records and Series Notes:
- Wake Forest improves to 9-0 on the season while Wright State falls to 2-7.
- The Deacons are 9-0 to start a season for the first time since 2003-04 when the team opened the year with 11 straight victories. Wake is 9-0 to start the season for the eighth time since the 1975-76 season.
- Today's game was the first meeting all-time between the Deacons and Raiders.
- Wake Forest is now 2-1 all-time against members of the Horizon League.
- Wake Forest returns to action on Friday, December 19, as the Deacons travel to Richmond for their first true road game of the 2008 season. Tip time is set for 7 p.m. (ET) and the game will be aired live on ESPNU and the Wake Forest ISP Sports Network.
Wake Forest Team Notes:
- Key Run: Leading 39-29, Wake Forest went on a 15-3 run over the next 5:05 to stretch the lead to 54-32. Wright State would get no closer than 13 points the rest of the game.
- Key Stat: Wake Forest continued to shoot the ball well, finishing the game 24-of-46 (52.2 percent) from the field. The Deacs have shot over 50 percent in six of their last nine games.
- Wake Forest outrebounded Wright State 39-19 in the game, including a 26-14 advantage on the defensive glass. The Deacons have won the rebounding category in six games this year and have outrebounded their opponents by 20 or more boards four times this season.
- The Wake Forest bench had its best performance of the season as the Deacon reserves poured in a season-high 28 points during the game.

Wake Forest Individual Notes:
- Harvey Hale came off the bench to lead all scorers with a season-high 17 points in 18 minutes of action. Fifteen of the points came on 5-of-6 shooting from behind the three-point line. The senior guard started the game making his first five three's, tying the school record for most three-point field goals without a miss. Randolph Childress went 5-for-5 from the three-point line on January 8, 1994 at Florida State. The five three pointers ties a career-high for Hale.
- Junior guard L.D. Williams finished the game with 11 points and six rebounds. Williams has scored in double-figures in four consecutive games.
- Sophomore guard Jeff Teague extended his streak of double-digit scoring to 13 games with his 10 points. Teague also finished the game with six rebounds, four steals and two assists.
- Sophomore forward James Johnson recorded a career-high five steals. He also scored nine points and brought down six rebounds.
- Freshman forward Al-Farouq Aminu led Wake Forest with seven rebounds. Aminu has led the Deacs in rebounding five times this season. He also recorded four points, two assists and two steals.
