Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech - Postgame Notes

With the loss...
- Wake Forest drops to 13-8 overall and 3-5 in the ACC.
- Head Coach Dino Gaudio moves to 13-8 at Wake Forest and 81-132 in his eighth season overall as a head coach.
- Wake has its 16-game home court winning streak snapped. The streak, which dated back to Feb. 6 of last year, was the longest current in the ACC and was ranked ninth in the country.
- The Deacons move to 238-54 all-time at Joel Coliseum (opened in 1989-90), including a 100-46 record in conference games.
- Wake falls to 373-405 all-time in ACC play and 535-682 all-time against current ACC members.
- The Deacons move to 34-30 all-time against the Yellow Jackets, including a 14-5 mark at Joel Coliseum.

- Wake Forest lost the opening tip for the 19th time in 21 games this season.
- The Deacs have hit at least one three-pointer in 511 straight games (dating back to Feb. 8, 1992, at North Carolina). Jeff Teague pushed the streak to 511 with his three-pointer at the 16:26 mark of the first half.
- Georgia Tech erased a 62-50 deficit with a 14-0 run midway through the second half. The Jackets took their first lead of the game since they were up 3-2.
- The Deacons committed a season-high 24 personal fouls, including 12 in each half.
- The Yellow Jackets out-scored the Deacs, 36-19, in bench points.
- Wake Forest lost the turnover battle for just the fifth time this season.

- The Deacs tied their season-high with seven first-half three-pointers. Wake also had its second-best first-half three-point percentage of the season.
- Georgia Tech shot 16 first-half free throws, tying the season-high for a Wake Forest opponent (Virginia Tech; South Florida). The Yellow Jackets made 13 of their 16 attempts.
Freshman Gary Clark
- Was the Deacons' first player off the bench, entering the game for Ishmael Smith at the 16:02 mark of the first half.
- Made his first bucket since hitting the game-tying three-pointer in the waning moments of the Virginia Tech game on Dec. 23.
- Scored his most points since tallying nine in the season opener against Fairfield.
- Had season-highs of two assists and two steals.

Freshman James Johnson
- Started for the 21st straight game.
- Scored in double figures for the 18th time this season and the 11th time in his last 12 games.
- Led the team in rebounding for the 13th time this season.
- Fouled out with 7.7 seconds remaining in the game.
Sophomore Chas McFarland
- Made his 18th start of the season.
- The seven-footer made his second three-pointer of the season and the third of his career.
Sophomore Ishmael Smith
- Made his 49th straight start, the longest current streak on the team.
- Led the team in assists (tied with Jeff Teague) for the 17th time this season and the 43rd time in his career.
Freshman Jeff Teague
- Made his 13th start of the season and his 12th straight.
- Scored in double figures for the 14th time this season and the 12th time in his last 13 games.
- Led the team in scoring for the fifth time this season.
- Led the team in assists (tied with Ishmael Smith) for the ninth time this season.
- Has not missed a three throw in his last three games, going a perfect 16-for-16 (4-4 vs. Miami; 7-7 at NC State; 5-5 vs. Georgia Tech)
Sophomore L.D. Williams
- Missed his third straight game with a fractured right hand.
