Wake Forest Hosts Richmond on Friday

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will host Richmond on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Indoor Tennis Center. The Demon Deacons enter the contest with a 2-0 record following 7-0 wins over Appalachian State and Gardner-Webb last weekend.
The dual match will be the first of the year for the Spiders. The squad is led by senior Pamela Duran, who has cracked the ITA's top 100 but is currently unranked in the national poll.
On Sunday Wake Forest will host Dartmouth at 12 p.m. The Big Green will open the season on Saturday, January 24, when it plays Richmond at Wake's Indoor Tennis Center. Molly Scott leads Dartmouth at the top singles slot and currently ranks 11th in the ITA East Region poll.
Following the weekend matches Wake Forest is headed to Nashville to play Vanderbilt in the opening round of the ITA Team Indoors Qualifiers. The squad will return to Winston-Salem to host William & Mary on February 21 at 12 p.m.
