Team Records and Series Notes:
- This marks the first meeting between IUP and Wake Forest in an exhibition or regular season game.
- The Demon Deacons have gone 12-2 in exhibition play since the current coaching staff arrived in Winston-Salem. The Deacons have won each of their past eight exhibition contests, including last season's 97-62 defeat of Mount Olive.
- Wake Forest grabbed an early 10-8 lead with 13:15 left in the first half on senior Chas McFarland's jumper. The Deacons would never relinquish the lead and the largest margin in the game came when Wake Forest was up by 36 with 3:56 remaining, leading 85-49 after a layup by sophomore Ty Walker.
- The Demon Deacons were IUP's second ACC opponent this week. IUP played Maryland two nights ago, losing 75-54. IUP will wrap up its exhibition schedule traveling to Georgia Tech on Sunday.
- At halftime, the Deacons led 42-26. Sophomore Al-Farouq Aminu scored 11 of the last 18 Wake Forest points, leading the Deacons on an 18-8 run to close out the half. Aminu had 18 points at the break.
- Official attendance was 5,809 for the exhibition game.
Wake Forest Team Notes:
- Key Run: Wake Forest had a 26-7 run over 9:21 from 4:32 left in the first half to 15:11 remaining in the game.
- Key Stat: The Deacons finished the game shooting 51.6 percent (30-of-56) while holding the Crimson Hawks to 36.4 percent (23-of-65) from the floor.
- The starters for Wake Forest were: Aminu, senior Ishmael Smith, senior L.D. Williams, redshirt senior David Weaver and sophomore Tony Woods.
- The Deacons recorded five dunks and held the Crimson Hawks to zero.
- Up next, Wake Forest will host Oral Roberts on Friday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m.
Wake Forest Individual Notes:
- Aminu was three assists shy of a triple-double. On the game, he recorded 24 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in 24 minutes of action.
- McFarland had a double-double, finishing the game with 17 points on 6-of-7 shooting with 10 rebounds.
- Woods was the third-highest individual scorer on Wake Forest, with nine points on 4-of-5 shooting.
- Smith finished the game with seven assists, six rebounds and five points.
