10. Chris Huffins Takes Bronze at 2000 Summer Olympics - Summer 2000
Assistant coach Chris Huffins battled an upset stomach to place second (8,285) in the decathlon at the US Olympic Trials and earned a spot on Team USA for the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney. Huffins then ran a nearly 13-second PR of 4:38.71 in the 1,500m to hold on to third and win the bronze medal at the Olympics with a personal-best total of 8,595 points. Huffins also holds the decathlon WR in the 100m of 10.22.

9. Sisco and Estwanik Double At 2002 ACC Indoor Championships - Feb. 16, 2002
Nathan Sisco and Chris Estwanik each won a pair of ACC Titles at the 2002 ACC Indoor Championships in Chapel Hill. Sisco defended his title in the men's mile run by winning the title for the second consecutive year with a time of 4:09.95. Estwanik captured the ACC Crown in the 3,000m with a time of 8:11.82. The day before, the duo teamed-up with Ryan Hamilton and Paul Singleton to win the distance medley relay for the second-consecutive year in a time of 9:52.23. In all, Sisco was a five-time ACC Champion while Estwanik claimed three ACC Crowns.

8. Sean Stevens Sets 5,000m School Record - March 3, 2006
Senior Sean Stevens broke an 11 year-old school record in the indoor 5,000m run with a time of 14:15.77 at the Alex Wilson Invitational. That broke Kyle Armentrout's 1995 record of 14:18.10. Stevens went onto finish eighth in the event. That same year, Stevens finished third in both the 3,000m and 5,000m runs at the ACC Indoor Championships, earning All-ACC honors in each event.

7. Bingham Enjoys Decathlon Success -- 2005
Freshman Michael Bingham showed people early why he was to be one of the best athletes to come through Wake Forest as he had a stellar freshman campaign in the decathlon. He won the decathlon at the ACC Championship, defeating the senior defending champion after posting 7,162 points, good enough to provisionally qualify him for the NCAA Championship. He was the only male Demon Deacon to earn All-ACC honors that season. Bingham them went on to win the decathlon at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships, running the fastest 100 meter dash time of any of his competitors and any of the senior decathletes at the meet. By winning the USATF Championship, he qualified for the decathlon at the Jr. Pan Am games, where, representing the United States, he captured the bronze medal.

6. Cliff Neal Wins The 2002 ACC Hammer
The late Cliff Neal claimed his only ACC Title when he won the hammer throw at the 2002 ACC Outdoor Championships with a toss of 193-10. Earlier that same season, Neal won the hammer throw at the Wake Forest Open, breaking the school-record with a mark of 194-10, a record that record still stands today.

5. 4x400 Relay Success in 2006 -- 2006
The 4x400m relay team of Michael Bingham, Brent LaRue, Willie Idlette and Eric Seely pulled the double in 2006 winning both the indoor and outdoor ACC titles. The team won the indoor title with a then school-record 3:10.99 and then beat Florida State by over a second and a half to take the outdoor title. Bingham, LaRue and Idlette also joined Kevin Marion to win the outdoor 4x100m ACC title as well. The 4x400m team went on to break the outdoor school-record for the second time that season, finishing second at the NCAA Regionals and advancing to the NCAA Championships with a record time of 3:05.48.

4. Nathan Sisco Wins 2001 ACC Cross Country Title - Oct. 27, 2001
Nathan Sisco, a junior from Lebanon, NJ, won the 2001 ACC Men's Cross Country Championship and led the Wake Forest men's team to a second place finish. Wake Forest finished with three runners in the top 10, led by Sisco, who crossed the finish line in 24:23.5.

3. Wake Forest's 2008 Olympic Success - Summer 2008
Michael Bingham and Hunter Kemper represented Wake Forest well at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Bingham ran the third leg of the 4x400 meter relay team for Great Britain. His team won its heat in the prelims and entered the finals with the top-qualifying time. They then went on to finish fourth in the event. Kemper competed in the triathlon for the third-straight Olympics. He was the top American finisher in Beijing, taking seventh in a time of 1:49:48, improving on his ninth place finish from Athens in 2004.

2. Demon Deacons Sweep the 200m at ACC Championship - April 22, 2006
Wake Forest swept the medalist honors in the men's 200m dash at the 2006 Outdoor ACC Championships as Michael Bingham, Kevin Marion and Eric Seely finished 1-2-3. Bingham's time of 20.97 was a personal best and the second fastest time recorded in the ACC that season. It was only the second win all-time for the Demon Deacons in the 200m dash dating back to when the event started in 1976. Marion, who ran a 20.90 in the preliminaries, finished second with a time of 21.02 while Seely ran a third place time of 21.07.

1. Bingham Wins 400m National Title - March 14, 2009
Senior Michael Bingham turned in the fastest time in the world in 2009 on his way to winning the indoor 400-meter national title. His time of 45.69, which was two-hundredths of a second faster than Gil Roberts of Texas Tech, was good enough to claim the program's first indoor national title and he became just the third Demon Deacon to win any national track title. Bingham then turned in a stellar performance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, finishing second and earning the fourth All-American honors of his career. He won both the indoor and outdoor 400m ACC Titles in `09 and set a school-record on his way to winning the 400m race at the NCAA East Regionals in a time of 45.05. Later that same summer, Bingham qualified for the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Germany, where he finished seventh overall in the 400m dash after running a personal-best 44.74 in the semifinals.
