10) March 2, 2006 Cotelia Bond-Young Finishes Career with 1500+ points
By the time Wake Forest guard Cotelia Bond-Young graduated in May 2006 she tallied 1,507 points, which still stands as the fifth highest total in school history and was the top career mark of the decade.

9) February 21, 2005 - Strunk Nets 40 vs. Clemson
Liz Strunk made her mark in the Wake Forest record book when she put up 40 points at Clemson on February 21, 2005, breaking the former single-game scoring record of 38, set by Amy Privette (Perko) in 1986.

8) December 21, 2007 - Wake Forest Posts 400th Program Win
On December 21, 2006 the Demon Deacons topped Winston-Salem State 84-40, marking the program's 400th win.

7) December 19, 2008 - Tchangoue Becomes Decade's Rebounding Leader
On December 19, 2008 Alex Tchangoue netted her 627 career rebound, surpassing Erin Ferrell's mark of 626 to become the leading rebounder of the decade. Tchangoue finished her career in 2009 with 759 rebounds, the third highest mark in school history.

6) January 1, 2009 - Wake Forest Starts 12-0
With the 72-58 win over UNC Wilmington on New Years Day 2009, the Demon Deacons stretched their season-opening win-streak to 12-0, marking the longest unbeaten stretch in program history.

5) March 18, 2005 - First Postseason Appearance in 17 Seasons
When Wake Forest faced Charlotte in the first round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament on March 18, 2005, it marked the first postseason appearance past the ACC Tournament since the 1987-88 season. The Deacons defeated Charlotte and South Florida before falling to West Virginia in the third round.

4) March 22, 2009 - Wake Forest Makes Second Postseason Appearance in Four Years
After a 17 year hiatus in play following the ACC Tournament, Wake Forest showcased its steady improvement towards the end of the decade with a second appearance in the WNIT four years after its debut in 2005.

3) January 16, 2000 - Deacons Top No. 15 UNC
Wake Forest snapped an 18-match losing streak to North Carolina with a 69-56 win over the Tar Heels, then ranked 15th in the nation, on January 16, 2000 in Winston-Salem. Wake Forest defeated the Tar Heels three other times during the decade, with all the wins coming in at the Joel Coliseum.

2) November 24, 2007 - Deacons Crowned Paradise Jam Champions
With a 54-47 win over Wichita State, the Demon Deacons swept the St. John's Division of the 2007 Paradise Jam. On November 23 Wake Forest upset No. 10/11 Texas A&M, marking the highest ranked win outside of Winston-Salem in the program's 36-year history.

1) January 2009 - Wake Forest Ranks in AP Poll
Wake Forest received its first ranking in the AP Poll since the 1987-88 season following a 12-0 season start in January 2009. Marking the first season with a roster that included players entirely recruited by head coach Mike Petersen's staff, the team finished with 19 wins, the second best mark in program history and berth in the 2009 WNIT Tournament.
