Deacon Coaches To Help Guide Team USA

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Annie Bennett and assistant Director of Track & Field Scott Hall will be represent Team USA as coaches in a pair of international events later this summer.
Bennett will serve as an assistant coach at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships in Berlin, Germany while Hall is the head manager for the men's staff at the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.
The World Championships will take place on August 15-23 and the Pan Am Games are from July 31-Aug. 2.
Internationally, Bennett has served as the head coach for Team USA at the World Junior Cross Country Championships as well as guiding the US Senior Cross Country Team to a bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships. She also served as an assistant coach for Team USA at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, in 2007.
Hall also boasts a strong coaching resume as he has coached the U.S Decathlon Team in 1995 and also served as an assistant coach for the North squad at the 1994 U.S Olympic Festival.
In the summer of 2002, Hall served as the head coach for Team USA at the US vs. Germany decathlon meet and was an assistant coach for the United States at the 2004 World Indoor Championships in Budapest, Hungary. This past summer, he served as the women's Team Manager for the US vs. Germany Heptathlon meet.
