New Golf Center Construction

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The construction process of the new golf facility on campus is now in full swing. The range doesn't look anything like it used to and the last remnants of Gene Hooks Field have been taken away.
Phase one of the project is on schedule. Workers have taken out trees to expand the area for the new range and they are currently shaping the land for the new target greens. Once the land is shaped, the ground sodded. If all goes according to plan, the new indoor hitting center and the range will be available for the teams to use during the spring season.
The second phase of the process will be the construction of the Golf House. The state-of-the-art facility will house offices for both coaches, separate team locker rooms as well as an indoor putting green and a club repair room.
Stay tuned to WakeForestSports.com for more photos of the construction process.
