WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The baseball season is in its final two months. Here's a look at how former Wake Forest baseball players are faring in the pros.

Dave Bush (1999-2002) is a starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers and has posted a 3-4 record with a 5.67 ERA in 15 games, including 14 starts. Bush has been on the disabled list since June 23 due to micro-tearing at the base of his right bicep. He recently threw a bullpen session and the Brewers hope to send him on a rehab assignment soon.

Mike MacDougal (1997-99) has appeared in 28 games with the Washington Nationals and has nine saves on the season with a 2.81 ERA. MacDougal has saved each of the Nationals' last three victories, including tossing a hitless ninth inning against Pittsburgh on August 2. For the entire 2009 season, MacDougal has an 0-0 record and a 4.20 ERA in 33 appearances with the Nationals and Chicago White Sox.

Cory Sullivan (2000-01) is an outfielder for the New York Mets. He was recalled to the major league team on July 20 and has appeared in 13 games since joining the big league club. Sullivan is hitting .250 with four RBIs and three runs scored. He went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored against Colorado on July 30.

Jamie D'Antona (2001-03) is in his first season with the Tokyo Swallows of Japan's Central League. D'Antona was recently named the Central League's most valuable position player for the month of July. During July, D'Antona had a .416 batting average with six home runs and 25 RBIs in 21 games. He posted a .477 on-base percentage and a .701 slugging percentage. For the season, he is hitting .297 with 19 home runs and 67 RBIs in 83 games.

Matt Antonelli (2004-06) has played in 51 games for the Portland Beavers, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The Peabody, Mass., native is hitting .188 with four home runs and 22 RBIs. He is currently on the seven-day disabled list

Josh Ellis (2004-07) is a relief pitcher for the Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ellis has made 17 relief appearances with Mobile this season and has a 3-1 record with a 1.57 ERA. Ellis has not allowed a run in his last seven outings, including a two inning, three strikeout appearance against Tennessee on July 30.

Eric Niesen (2005-07) is a starting pitcher for the Binghamton Mets, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets. Niesen has started nine games with Binghamton and has a 1-6 record with a 6.91 ERA. He last pitched on July 30 against Altoona and allowed two runs on four hits in five innings of work.

Allan Dykstra (2006-08) is in his first full professional season with the Fort Wayne TinCaps, the Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Dykstra has a .197 batting average with six home runs and 43 RBIs in 97 games with the TinCaps. He leads the Midwest League with 87 walks. Dykstra had two hits and drove in a pair of runs against Lansing on August 3.

Andy Goff (2004-08) is an infielder with the Asheville Tourists, the Single-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. Goff is hitting .150 with two RBIs in 14 games with the Tourists.

Garrett Bullock (2006-09) is a relief pitcher with the GCL Astros, Houston's rookie league team in the Golf Coast League. He has appeared in two games with the GCL Astros and has an 0-0 record with an ERA of 18.00. He began his professional career with the Greeneville Astros and made five appearances and compiled a 4.26 ERA.

Phil Negus (2007-09) has started his professional career with the Bristol White Sox, the rookie league team of the Chicago White Sox. Negus has pitched in 10 games, including two starts, and has an 0-0 record with a 1.74 ERA. He has struck out 25 and walked only four batters in 20 2/3 innings. Negus has not allowed a run in his last four appearances, including tossing two perfect innings of relief against Danville on August 1.

Eric Williams (2006-08) is playing with the Big Bend Cowboys in the Continental Professional Baseball League. Williams is hitting a league-best .387 with a home run, 24 RBIs and a team-best 17 stolen bases. He leads the league with a .556 on-base percentage and has also played well defensively, committing just one error. Williams was named CBL Player of the Week on Wednesday after hitting .563 with six RBIs and five stolen bases in last week's action.
