Men's Tennis Ranked 16th in ITA Preseason Poll

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team is ranked 16th in the preseason Intercollegiate Tennis Association Poll, the third highest ranking for teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Junior Iain Atkinson is ranked 41st in national singles. Atkinson finished 8-5 during fall play and advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Regionals in Chapel Hill.
Atkinson and senior Steven Forman are ranked 16th in doubles. The tandem finished 9-2 and earned played in the doubles title match of the Carolina Regionals.
Wake Forest ranks 16th behind Virginia (2nd), and Florida State (13th), followed by Duke (19th), Miami (21st), Virginia Tech (27th) and North Carolina (28th).
The Demon Deacons will begin spring play on January 30 against Minnesota in the opening round of the ITA Team Indoors Tournament in Lexington, Ky.
