Tony Woods Given Release By Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest basketball player Tony Woods has requested and been granted his release from the basketball program. Woods requested his release in order to pursue other options.
"We wish Tony the best of luck in all his future endeavors," said head coach Jeff Bzdelik. "Tony and I met a number of times and we felt this was the best course of action for him."
Woods, a 6-11 junior from Rome, Ga., played in all 31 games last season as Wake Forest compiled a 20-11 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Woods averaged 4.6 points and 3.2 rebounds as a sophomore.
